This message is shouted to the masses through our over-the-top theatrics & dramatic, almost blown out, presentation.
Archers
Wisconsin-based band ARCHERS is a force to be reckoned with. Emerging in 2015 as the brainchild of founders Ben Koehler (guitar) and Nathanael Pulley (lead vocals), the duo laid the foundation for a dynamic musical journey. Sharing a passion for both the metalcore and pop-rock worlds, it wasn’t long before their casual creative outlet became a project that encapsulates the ups and downs of life, mental health, and relationships. With Oscar Porter (bass/vocals) and Grayson Mesarosh (drums) later joining the ranks, the members of ARCHERS continue to carve their path in the music industry on their own terms.
Proudly independent, the turning point for ARCHERS arrived in 2020 with the release of their EP, ‘New Normal.’ Their infectious soundscapes and introspective lyrics reminiscent of scene heavy-hitters like Dayseeker and Sleep Token resonated with listeners early on in their sonic development. From then on, the band has only fine-tuned their sound with standout singles like “Bitter” and “Say This Sober.” Each song weaves a story that is both vulnerable and visceral, a juxtaposition that resonates with the band’s loyal fanbase. There is strength and power to be reclaimed in the darkest of times, and ARCHERS find the light through their punchy blend of distorted guitars and soulful vocals.
Venturing beyond the studio, ARCHERS has been consistently touring across the country since 2022. From making waves at Louder Than Life Festival and Blue Ridge Rock Festival to selling out rooms alongside acts like Savage Hands and Boys Of Fall, the energy and passion poured into their live shows continues to propel them forward. Gearing up for the release of a new EP in the Spring of 2024, the future of ARCHERS looks bright.
If Not For Me
Four piece metalcore outfit from Harrisburg, PA, If Not For Me, delivers their own brand of catchy choruses, driving riffs and hard - hitting breakdowns with an explosive live performance to match. While the band has an enticing fire lit underneath them, relatability is an important element to include. “I like to write about things that are going on around me in the world. If someone can relate to the things that we’re saying, that’s the best part of it.” Lead vocalist Patrick Glover says about their writing process.
If Not For Me has cemented themselves as a fan favorite staple in the emerging metalcore scene. They’ve drawn inspiration from a range of metalcore and post - hardcore influences, including bands like August Burns Red, Killswitch Engage and Bring Me the Hor izon. They also incorporate pop and melodic rock into their sound. “I remember being that kid and listening to music, hearing something that I needed to hear and having that lift me out of whatever I’m going through.” Glover says pertaining to their musical influences.
The band has recently announced their signing to InVogue Records in early 2023 and then a jump over to Thriller Records in 2024. “InVogue is one of those labels that I looked up to for a long time. We felt like the label could push us where w e really needed to be and that certainly has happened.” Glover says about their signing. “When we made the jump to Thriller that was crazy to me because that’s the hot label right now. That’s where the best newest bands are.”
If Not For Me released their powerhouse Thriller Records Debut record, Everything You Wanted on March 29. “A lot of the songs are directed at me and a lot of the songs are directed to other people.” Says Glover about the upcoming album. “We knew with this album we had to push further than we ever have before.”
Showcasing a new level of maturity in the band's songwriting, Everything You Wanted retains the fierce, unbridled passion that endears them to fans. “ I wrote most of this record from a place of grief, hindsight, and healing from the past several years of my life. Most of my life has been spent in a state of not really wanting to be around anymore, but not necessarily knowing why that is.” Says Glover about the record. “Back in 2019, I decided to end a very long term relationship because I felt like I needed to make some changes for myself to figure out why I was so unhappy. In the process I made a lot of awful choices and hurt people that were very important to me just trying to make myself happy, because I didn’t know why I was hurting or what I wanted or who I even was.” Striving to push themselves to new heights and connect with their fans on a deeper level. “Everything You Wanted has a couple of intended meanings for me personally. It comes from a place of longing to find out who you really are outside of other people and understanding what you actually want out of life, which has been a major climb for myself to face over the years and a journey that will most likely never truly end. But it also serves as a bit of a sarcastic jab to ourselves and others who have wronged us in ways that feel irreparable.” Glover expands on the record. “I just really wanted to convey that harsh but fair attitude of these are the choices you’ve made, I hope it was everything you wanted , which is s omething I’ve had to say to myself and others so many times. But I’m extremely excited for everyone to hear this record and see their interpretations of everything, and if there’s anyone at all out there who actually gets something meaningful out of these words and experiences, that makes it all worth it.”
With their unyielding commitment to their craft and their explosive live shows, If Not For Me are poised to become one of metalcore's brightest rising stars. Everything You Wanted has achieved Billboard # 6 – Current Hard Rock Albums, #21 – Top New Artists, #35 – Current Rock Albums, and #36 – Independent Label Albums.
