The Ghost Inside

Captivating bangers like “Engine 45,” “Avalanche,” “Aftermath,” “Wash It Away,” and “Pressure Point” are anthems for outcasts. Since its formation in El Segundo, California, The Ghost Inside has inspired international audiences with passion and determination. Tremendous obstacles never dampened their energy. The Ghost Inside is stronger than ever.

The lesson isn’t only about strength through adversity. In recent years, vocalist Jonathan Vigil, guitarists Zach Johnson and Chris Davis, bassist Jim Riley, and drummer Andrew Tkaczyk learned an esoteric truth about tranquility. As the axiom says, it’s the journey, not the destination, a theme throughout the band’s dynamic sixth album, Searching for Solace.

The Ghost Inside merges the New Wave of American Metalcore’s proficiency with punk’s urgency, building a bridge between more aggressive sounds and thoughtful messaging. Melody is another constant, explored to dizzying new heights in Searching for Solace.

Fury and the Fallen Ones (2008) and Returners (2010) preceded The Ghost Inside’s breakthrough album on Epitaph, Get What You Give (2012). Goodwill, momentum, and engaging live performances continued behind the conceptually driven Dear Youth (2014).

In 2015, while driving outside El Paso, Texas, the band’s tour bus collided with a tractor-trailer. Kerrang! called The Ghost Inside’s return to the stage nearly four years later “Rock’s Most Miraculous Comeback.” Their historic gig in Los Angeles chronicled in Rise from the Ashes: Live at the Shrine, sold out so quickly that it had to be moved to the parking lot.

“The Ghost Inside’s devastating bus accident may have broken their bodies, but it didn’t break their spirit,” Revolver Magazine wrote upon the release of the band’s self-titled comeback.

With heavy, dynamic, and melodic songs like “Going Under,” “Death Grip,” “Wrath,” and “Earn It,” Searching for Solace is a near-complete picture of their past, present, and future.

Remembering how adversity nearly washed the band away more than once over the years is an integral part of that journey. “There was a time when all five of us thought this band was over,” Vigil says. “Having a new lease on life means we’re never going to squander it.”

Gideon

GIDEON - 2024 Approved Photo.jpg

Since forming in 2008 in Tuscaloosa, AL, Gideon has been making a name for themselves by defying convention, creating their own distinct sound and never settling for anything that was just run of the mill or ordinary. Rather, the band – completed today by founding member and drummer Jake Smelley, vocalist Daniel McWhorter, guitarist/vocalist Tyler Riley and bassist Caleb DeRusha – kept stretching the boundaries of their sound to great acclaim and to increasing commercial success. 2011’s debut album, Costs, established them as powerhouse of the metalcore scene, but that’s something the band simultaneously pushed away from it, incorporating elements of melodic hardcore and hardcore punk into the fold of their songs, but always with an underlying sense of positivity and defiance.  Impressively prolific, the band released their next two full-lengths, Milestone and Calloused, on Facedown Records in 2012 and 2014 respectively, before signing to Equal Vision Records. Their first album for EVR was 2017’s Cold, followed by Out of Control in 2019, a record that deservedly saw the band’s profile rising steadily. That brings us to Gideon’s 6th full-length studio album. Recorded/mixed/mastered by Randy Lebouef at Graphic Nature Audio, “MORE POWER. MORE PAIN.” Is a brutally intense burst of violent noise that both nods to the band’s past, musicially and thematically, but also establishes itself in its own context.

Void Of Vision

Void Of Vision have solidified their standing as one of the most innovative and sonically explosive acts in the heavy scene for over a decade. From their debut EP, 2014's Broken // Bones through to 2016's Children of Chrome, 2017's Disturbia, 2019's Hyperdaze and the release of the amalgamated CHRONICLES series in 2023, a new future was heralded last year by the arrival of a standalone single Angel Of Darkness; an alt metal rager weighted equally by searing heaviness and pulsing pop, helmed by the titular Angel Of Darkness as the band's representative during the single's campaign.

With recent unforgettable performances at home and abroad in their wake also alongside Stray From The Path, Holding Absence, Polaris and the first ever edition of Knotfest Australia, Void Of Vision will join Aussie juggernauts Parkway Drive on their gargantuan 20 Year Anniversary Tour in Australia this September along with I Prevail and The Ghost Inside.
