Statik Selektah

Statik Selektah is a renowned DJ, producer, musician and radio personality that originally hails from Massachusetts, and resided in Brooklyn, New York for the last 2 decades. 

 

Over the course of his career as an artist, Statik has released nine solo studio albums and 18 collaborative projects with heavyweight appearances from the likes of Nas, Method Man, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, G-Eazy, Killer Mike, Mac Miller, Black Thought, Jadakiss, Raekwon andWale, among many others. Most recently, he released his solo studio albums The Balancing Act & Round Trip, which included acclaimed songs such as “Keep It Moving (feat Nas & Joey Bada$$),” and “Time (feat Jack Harlow).” He also famously teamed up with Bun B to release TrillStatik – a series of  albums that was created entirely from scratch during an 11-hour livestreams on YouTube. 

 

As a hip-hop producer, he’s known for his work on a slew of standout songs, including J. Cole and Joey Bada$$’s “Legendary” and Eminem’s collaboration with Big Sean, Royce da 5’9”, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf and Trick-Trick on “Detroit vs. Everybody.” Additionally, he’s produced for a wide array of artists, including Mac Miller , Bun B, Talib Kweli, Freddie GibbsConway the Machine, Westside Gunn, Havoc, Paul Wall and Joyner Lucas, etc. 

 

He is also a DJ and radio personality for SiriusXM, where he spearheads his Showoff Radio show on Eminem’s Shade 45 network, and has also DJed for clubs and festivals all over the world. He appeared on Grand Theft Auto as a DJ on the hip-hop station The Beat 102.7 and has also contributed music for Jordan Brand commercials. In 2020, XXL named him as one of the 48 Greatest Hip-Hop DJs of All-Time. He is currently preparing for the release of his much anticipated project with 2 Chainz, due summer 2025.
