Do you get scared before you release a project about if people will like it or not?

Naw. I never ask people if they like my work. It’s already done by then. I just wanna know how it makes them feel. What does it inspire them to do. Hopefully if they hate it enough they’ll be inspired to protest about it… or do their own.

What do you consider to be the most important message in your music?

Be you.

I've been following your work for a few years now. You've made some of the most outstanding music of your time. How would you say your style has developed over the years?

I think that I've evolved with the times. Put me on Uranus (that's what she…) and I’ll make it work. I'm pretty mutable, I think.

What is a typical day in your life like?

I take kids to school when I'm home. I hustle on something, marketing or music... I cook dinner... I try to meditate with some tea in a bath of sea salt.

When I was about 4 and realized that I could make the sun follow me while riding in the car with mommy.
