Nearly 40 years after the Band (originally) called it quits with The Last Waltz at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, former members of the Band, the Levon Helm Band, and the Rick Danko Group — Jim Weider (guitar), Randy Ciaralante (drums), Marty Grebb (keys, guitar, and sax), Byron Isaacs (bass), and Brian Mitchell (keys) — come to Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday night to keep the Band’s incredible roots-rock music alive. Playing hits and deep cuts, the Weight (below, performing “Chest Fever”) will have you singing along all night long.
