Aberdeen, Wash., five-piece Metal Church and Los Angeles quintet Armored Saint team up to take on Brooklyn Bowl Vegas on Monday night.

1. Metal Church were formed in San Francisco, but then moved to Aberdeen under the name Shrapnel. 2. Armored Saint’s song “In an Instant” was inspired by Boston Marathon terrorist attacks and how one second can change our lives forever. 3. Before joining Armored Saint, vocalist John Bush was Anthrax’s lead singer for 13 years. 4. Metal Church collaborated with Sir-Mix-A-Lot on a cover of “Iron Man.” 5. Metal Church’s XI debuted at No. 5 on Billboard Top Current Rock Albums and No. 57 on the Billboard 200. 6. Armored Saint appeared in the movie Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, performing the song “Hanging Judge.” 7. John Bush was invited by Lars Ulrich to audition as singer for Metallica, however James Hetfield became Metallica’s vocalist. 8. On the album A Light in the Dark, “Watch the Children Pray” was a tribute to Metal Church’s former singer David Wayne, who died in a car accident.
